I have recently created an account for our guild on World of Logs. This is a tool that can provide an advanced analysis of a raid encounter. It is most commonly used during progression raiding to analyze what might have caused a wipe or to develop a new strategy. For our purposes, it can be used to study what a player does during a fight and how they might improve performance. We can look at your rotation, cooldown use, etc. to see what (if anything) can maybe be done better, and this will go hand in hand with our upcoming class tutorial events.
If you so choose, you can create an account with World of Logs and then join the guild. You can do a search for "Voljins Vengeance" and click the apply to guild button. You will be added to the guild and be able to look at our logs from any raids. To create logs for yourself, you just have to download the World of Logs client (requires Java to run). After verifying your account info and adding the location of the default Log file for WoW (varies depending on OS but something along the lines of C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Logs), you just use the command /combatlog before pulling a boss and then use the client to upload it after the raid. You can use their help page if you run into any problems. The logs themselves can look pretty complicated, but they become easier to read the more you look at it.
I will attempt to upload logs for every guild raid starting 8/16 and they should be up shortly after the raid ends.
