Meeting Highlights
Raid Team
Commentary
While we are very proud of all our raid team has accomplished in the past year from its foundation to our recent victories, some of us have begun to worry we've it's changed our guild atmosphere and not for the better. When a chunk of our raiders left a few month back we were affronted and felt a need to prove ourselves that we were every bit as good as those who were supposed to be our betters. We took our raiding more seriously and its paid off. However, we are first and foremost a social guild that prides itself on trying to be friendly and engage in diverse activities together. With raiding the past few months becoming more serious, it's become a bit too prominent in our guild culture and while we don't want to suddenly clamp down on it, we do want to make sure that we're maintaining the atmosphere that makes us such an awesome guild. We'll be recommitting ourselves to maintaining a more diverse schedule of activities and events outside of raiding and give less play to the competitiveness we've embraced with raiding.

Raid Team
- The guild has gotten its 10-man Garrosh kill with proper guild credit.
- The 10-man team is going to venture back into Heroic raiding and see if we can make it work. We expect this event to go forward on Wednesdays.
- We've had a surge of raiders recently for the 10-man team and we want to ensure they can keep doing their thing so we'll be maintaining a 10-man progression team made up of them and filled out by a few main team alts on a separate lockout. Deathmoo will be taking charge of leading this event. While we have this event planned for Friday, we anticipate that changing due to scheduling concerns.
- Flex night will still be a thing on Saturday for all its various niches. We will be looking to getting back to the discussion of selecting a new raid lead for this night as I'm not setting the right atmosphere.

Old School Raids
- The Herald of the Titans run is coming next week, look for it on the calendar. This is your last chance to gear up your toons. If your gear is significantly out of sync, we can have someone run you through the ICC Dungeons for comparable gear.
- Thursday night raids has dipped its toes in the water of doing current content nearly completing Throne of Thunder. We'll be looking to try our hand at Mogu'shan Vaults soon getting people comfortable with the 10-man fights and then going back for achievements.
- Throne of the Four Wings is on farm for its mount currently.
- Don't forget about Sunday night's ICC 25H run for a chance at its mount and we've got a line of people working on their Shadowmourne legendaries.
Roleplay
- B has started a group designed around roleplaying through the levels. It's only at level 5 currently, so plenty of time to join in on the fun. B's schedule has shifted to overnight recently so talk to him about his availability.
- We miss having our weekly roleplay nights, so Selanas will be taking a crack at getting this up and running again. We do look for serious roleplay where possible here, so please look under the rp section for backstories and submit one or tweak your old one.
Pet Battles
- The Safari's are making the rounds through the old raids again farming for drops for anyone who wants those achievements.
- Badges are still a thing, keep practicing to test your mettle against the best pet trainers the guild has to offer and win the right to challenge a champion.
PvP
- We're going to try once more to revive this event. We're putting out an open call for someone to step up and organize this event and rally our pvpers. We're not looking for a rated battleground team, just something small like a 2-3 man team that runs consistently. We do attract pvpers occasionally and we just want someplace to point them to look at to connect with others of the same interest.
Workshops
- I'll be looking to run at least 2 this month and try to do them on a more consistent basis in the future. If you have a topic you want covered, let me know. I will also make time to go over stuff outside of them if anyone wants. I am currently thinking of doing a class workshop and rerunning (with some updates) my gold making workshop.
Guild Challenges and the Guild Bank
- Thank you to everyone currently helping to run guild challenges each week, your invaluable efforts are ensuring our guild funds remain stable with the amount of gold we allow members to take. To put that in perspective, we make upwards of 5k gold from challenges that is spent each week (plus the gold we get from Cash Flow). It is a delicate balance and we just want to make you all aware of it and how important your continued efforts are.
- Come Warlords, the Cash Flow perk is going away, which will cut off some of the gold we make each week. Apparently this perk was being abused by more unscrupulous guilds. Blizz has said they'll look to add in more community-minded ways to earn gold together to replace this.
- The bad news this month is that we've had a few people abusing the GB, mainly the flasks from the Consumables tab - cases of people taking entire stacks or multiple stacks even when they're not usable by the class they play. In prior cases we've simply spoken with the person for being greedy, but the number of people doing it says we need to take another approach. Going forward we'll be removing access to the consumables tab from Initiates.
- On the topic of Initiates and the guild bank. We've also noticed a trend where Initiates ask for things from the Valuables tab and have someone else get it for them. This access is restricted because the person has not earned access to that tab, so asking someone else for it sort of defeats the purpose of limiting access.
Monthly Contest
- A reminder, our current contest is to resign our current Guild Crest. Come, make your mark on the guild by envisioning its heraldry. We'll be treating this as an annual contest on our guild's anniversary to update our image.
- The contest prizes, aside from the joy of winning and seeing your entry worn by everyone, will be a title (held for the year) denoting you as the tabard's designer and a set of 4 Royal Satchels.
- If we get a lot more entries like we did last year, we'll discuss a 2nd place prize as well.
Promotions
