I know, I know-- first we require you to have a CHARACTER BACKGROUND here on the forums, and NOW we want you to go download shit.
This whole role-play thing is just so much trouble, isn't it?
We really do think you'll like these amendments, though, what with all the neat things these addons will allow you as a player to do with the world of Azeroth, as well as how much more depth we staff members can give characters AND plotlines with the help of these tiny game-mod gems.
TRP2:
The first we're going to talk about is a wonderful little addon called Total RP 2, which we STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO DOWNLOAD NOW.
You can find this easily on any addon site, or through Curse just by searching the name.
With the help of this addon, you are able to have a portable character biography that you can customize with each character you log into.
***IF YOU GET THIS ADDON, AND YOU FILL OUT ITS BUILT-IN BIOGRAPHY FOR YOUR CHARACTER, YOU ARE EXEMPT FROM HAVING TO POST IT TO THIS FORUM.**
Similarly, if you have posted your bio here, you are not required to fill it out in the addon as well, just put a little note indicating that it is on the forum.
Is has a wonderful mood system for characters and all sorts of other neat customization options,
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, it allows you to give dialogue and emotes for IN-GAME NPCS...
...and to see the emotes when staff members use the in-game NPCs for plot progression.
THIS ADDON WILL BECOME REQUIRED FOR ROLE-PLAY SOON, LEST YOU BE VERY CONFUSED DURING EVENTS. WE ADVISE YOU GET IT BEFORE IT DOES SO YOU HAVE TIME TO EXPERIMENT WITH IT.
Now, we have two other optional addons to discuss that will never be required, but are VERY fun to play with.
GHI:
Gryphonheart Items is an amazing role-play device that actually allows you to customize items for your characters in-game, and lets you trade them with other players who have the addon. Say, your character has a locket from their deceased mother that they carry with them always--the addon gives you a separate, nearly infinite inventory backpack that would allow you to create that locket using an image, item quality, and a full description just like real in-game items. It also lets you link those items in-chat.
Another neat feature that Mira loves to take advantage of is transcription---the addon allows you to transcribe anything that you read in-game, books, letters, written quest items...it's really neat. These can also be linked in chat, and traded to other players. Say your character loves stealing books from the Scarlet Monastery library, and another character doesn't believe he's ever been there to steal anything...you could trade them a book, they could read it exactly as they would if they were in the dungeon. Bam, proof.
Items created are character-specific, which means if you transcribe fifty books on one character they do not appear in the inventories of other characters.
You should download it and check it out. <3

Speakin Spell is another really awesome addon that allows you to give your character dialogue for their spells and abilities...and pretty much anything else in-game. It allows for multiple messages for any ability, and even lets you modify how often the messages get sent. This addon is perfect for IC-dungeon and raid runs, allowing you to keep in-character and avoid the dead silences of combat!
(Mira recommends deleting all caches for Speakinspell before you active it in-game to put in your own messages, though, because it comes fully-stocked with all sorts of ability messages, some of them relevant, and some of them...well, not very good.)
We hope you check these addons out, and thanks so much for reading. :3
If you have questions, post them here---spam will be deleted!
