Event Updates
PvP
- We've seen struggling PvP efforts for some time trying to get organize BGs to build up to an Arena team so we're going to try some new approaches focused on fun and collecting/achievements.
- Look for PvP events to be held on Sunday evenings.
- Naked PvP - Originally intended as a one-shot tournament, we thought it was fun enough to continue. The idea is everyone involved wears no gear except for a crafted weapon that is provided for you. From there one-on-one fights can be held as well as team matches of any size with a varying number of teams. This is meant to be fun between guildies with less stress or working to build gear. We'll be refocusing this event as an introduction to PvP for people new to it so it will be an interactive workshop with pointers given and questions answered.
- War Games - The next step up from Naked PvP, queued official arena team fights between guildies and perhaps some friends from other guilds. Full gear is allowed. These are not for earning Conquest or Honor Points or Arena Rankings.
- Nagrand PvP - There exist 2 Talbuk mounts in Nagrand purchasable by a vendor with currency only earned from PvPing in Nagrand. Since this is a quiet area, no one has been able to purchase these mounts for some time. We'll be coordinating with Horde and Alliance players to drum up players to come out for World PvP in order for people to have the chance to earn currency to purchase these mounts.
- With a Little Helper From My Friend - A Winter Veil achievement where you need to earn 50 PvP Kills while transformed as a Christmas helper. Eri will be setting up events to enter BGs as a group for anyone who wants to work on this.
- For the Horde - World PvP at its best where we enter the Alliance capital cities and slay their leaders for achievements and a mount. It's been a long time since we've seen this done. We'll organize a private event with multiple guilds to mass a small army with the element of surprise. Anyone looking to do more achievements - BB King requires one shoot the alliance leaders with the toy air rifle and though a Winter Veil achievement, can be done all year long.
- Yon is now a Jr. Officer and will be helping Z to organize events.
- Events will be held early Sunday evenings.
- Safaris - A primer to all things Pet Battles, held 3 times a month, where players will be shown where to find rare pets, where to find trainer and pointers on how to beat them, covering any questions people have about pet battling etc, and also helping people to level their teams.
- Tournaments - Will be held once a month with the average team level set by the progress the attendees of Safaris are at to ensure all participants have eligible teams.
- Has begun to hits its stride over the past few major plot points. Attendance has been way up and our friends in Divine Nobility have been fantastic in making this a wonderful experience for all.
- We've begun running personal plotlines for players to enhance their experience with a focus on those who have submitted backstories.
- Anyone curious to see the story as it unfolds or get up to speed with what they've missed, plot points will be posted in the Plot Summaries sub-section of the RP forums.
- We've torn through most of the Cata raids, we are currently farming both Firelands and Dragon Soul simultaneously since they are quick runs. We've only a few achievements left but we'll be farming these for awhile for anyone who wants the Legendary Weapons or Firelands Rep.
- Once we've finished farming Cata raids we'll run raids by request or start over in sequence.
- We've had trouble with participation as it has risen but we're at an awkward tipping point between running 10 and 25-man versions. The 25-man versions become significantly harder if we're only at 11 or 12 people. If anyone has friends they'd like to invite, please do so and we can push to the 15 or so mark. We're also considering splitting into 2 teams to run 10-man content separately.
- The Raid team has done awesome lately. We are 8/14 on Flex and 2/14 on Normal. We aim to have Flex fully cleared in the next 4 weeks. However, we are looking to strengthen our position in Normal progression. Towards this end we're looking at combining our efforts with Legion of Seraphim who we've had cordial relations with with some of our raiding members. They perform well as individuals with better numbers but seem to be missing a key element, whereas we may be weak individually but work well as a team to perform better then numbers would indicate. We hope to pair off our strengths and weaknesses to grow together,
- These combined efforts would result in a 2 team split, an A and B team. The A team will be a 10-man Normal progression, while the B team would remain a Flex progression farming for gear. Both groups would run on the same nights twice a week.
- Regarding concerns that the 10-man team only hold the best players and bar others from participating, every time the 10-man teams clears the raid, 3-4 members of the A team will move to the B team and a corresponding number from the B team will move to A. By rotating our members we maintain a strong core to our 10-man team while ensuring everyone has a chance to go through Normal progression.
- This is the current plan and subject to revision as realities on the ground become apparent. Both guilds are a bit concerned about the viability of this plan, so this will be an experiment. We will make revisions and tweaks on a weekly basis once we begin in Mid-January.
- The guild coffers have continued to grow and we've now crossed the 75k gold mark, far more then we have need for. We experimented last month not holding a weekly event to max out the challenges each week and have found that the 1/2 of them we do get to is enough to earn the gold a profit. As such, we are comfortable leaving that as is and no longer pressuring members to run guild challenges.
- The expanded guild perks awarded last month will remain intact. The new benchmark for determining this will be the size of the guild's gold reserves. We're holding this at a baseline of 25k gold currently. So long as the guild remains above that, we will not put pressure to complete the guild challenges each week.
New Initiatives
Mists Dungeon Achievements
- After the holidays Ten will be starting a weekly event to run Mists dungeons to track down achievements for anyone who wants them. These groups will conform to the standard 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps model. As such, groups will be limited to how many we can fill in this manner. I don't anticipate it taking more then 2 weeks to complete the achievements for any single group, so if you can't get room initially, please be patient and we will make sure you get your turn.
- As a holiday thank you to all of you for being such an awesome guild, we'll be putting out some Christmas presents for you all in the guild bank. The first bank tab will be emptied and filled with wrapped gifts containing assorted gifts.
- These gifts will be available Christmas and New Year's weeks.
- Each person is allowed to withdraw 1 gift.
- Some gifts may contain vouchers due to the difficulty of wrapping certain items in game, please mail them to Drazzl to redeem them.
Recruitment
Awards- To smooth out the rough edges of our recruitment process, a new guide has been posted to the Guides and Helpful Resources section on successful ways to approach people if/when recruiting and how to welcome them into the guild.

- This month we'll be going for a smaller, more light-hearted contest. The goal is to submit a screencap of something humorous in game. This can be an old picture or new. It can be of something you found, did or saw. Glitches are valid. Full details will be in the contest section of the forums.
