Wowhead has recently featured this guide to Transmog. It'll give you pictures of the sets and discuss where to find them. Also, Transmog has grown this patch with gear designed with no real stats but purely for transmog and wearable by anyone opening up more options. I'll tell you in advance we'll be doing another Halloween Transmog contest, so maybe you want to start early. Old School Raid Night is a good way to track down gear while having company. www.wowhead.com/news=213778/transmogrification-guide-dungeon-sets

Adding some new websites and tips from tonight's Workshop: WoWHead offers a way to search for gear looking through a viewing gallery and the ability to look for items with the same model through use of its database. Wowroleplaygear.com is a good resource website offering lots of pictures of ensembles to pique your interest. IcyVeins.com offers a comprehensive section on Transmog gear. Check out the Transmog tab on the top right of the site sorted by class and slot showing a viewing gallery of all models. An add-on called mogIT gives you an in-game way of tracking down items like WoWHead does. It also has numerous attachments mods to expand its range. Tips: - Anytime you find wearable gear that isn't of use to you stat-wise, check out its appearance anyway and if you like it, file it away in your bags for potential use later.
- Track down old sets of gear: PVE raid sets, PvP tier sets, but also themed green sets indicated by similar naming schemes. These are fairly easy to image search on the webs.
- Don't neglect cross-class gear. Gear that is worn by Druids (leather) is often usable by Rogues and Monks, providing a wider array of themes.
- Identify the most important pieces of gear for your class that define the look; usually the weapon(s), helm, shoulders and chest.
- Start with a theme to guide your selection:
- Use a color scheme (can be useful for making your character standout on screen)
- Concept (ex: I want my monk to look like a ninja)
- Roleplay (Ex: Your character starts Pandaria shipwrecked on the isle, so you build a transmog to reflect someone with a tattered or wild look)
- Reflect the guild (Ex: a member of Golden Skull Legion looks for gear that has skulls on it, often with gold and red color schemes. A member of Voljin's Vengeance may look for Troll-themed gear from the assorted Troll dungeons: ZA, ZG, ZF, Gudndrak etc.)
- Consider using a mount of pet to act as an accessory to your outfit to complement or set the tone.

Found a fun site earlier this week. It shows off people's Transmog sets with pictures of them and a list of gear that was used. If you're having trouble coming up with your own, this is a good place to get ideas or copy outright. Here is the link.
