Should you choose to or find yourself in a position of recruiting new members to the guild, here are some things you should be aware of. The Approach- Never spam invites blindly, this is considered quite rude.
- Whisper the person first and ask them if they're looking for a guild - people like it when you ask.
- If they're interested, tell them a bit about our guild: what we're about, our friendly atmosphere, the kind of activities we do. See what interests them and show how we can help them pursue their interests.
Once They've Joined (Things to Tell Them)- If they need anything, do not hesitate to ask.
- Get them to register for the forums. The address is under the Guild Info Tab and there's a 250 Gold bonus for registering. Also grants access to our monthly contests for prizes.
- Direct them to the Vent Info and Director of Officers also under Guild Info Tab should they have questions.
- Ask about their interests (if you haven't yet) and direct them to events they may want to check out.
- Point out our full events calendar. If there's nothing there that interests them, we welcome initiative to cover any activities we're not currently exploring. There's always others who want the same things.
- Get them talking. New members who start conversing with guildies out the gate are most likely to remain active and become full participants in the guild - the whole point of recruitment. Those who start out quiet tend to find guild members unapproachable and withdraw from the community.

Also encourage them to take advantage of the guild bank. If they need things but can't access them because of initiate status encourage them to ask or mail a request to Thalen, other officer's, or other guildies. Encourage them to deposit some items as well. emphasize that we believe a healthy guild bank is one where there is a lot of give and take and that is useful to people in support of their professions and consumables needs.
