You'll want to check out this link sooner rather then later. Several things will become unobtainable come 6.0 - some mounts, pets, titles etc. Make sure you're not locked out of anything you still want. Link is here. Oh, and the Valor Point system is going away come 6.0.

An important follow-up note on crafting. Leveling craft professions is going to become substantially easier come Warlords. You will now be able to craft Warlords-level goods at level 1 of any craft profession and it will provide heft points towards leveling. This will bypass all of the prior slog to gather old content mats to level any profession in favor of using current content goods. Building the Garrison building associated with the craft profession you want to level will provide you with the tools to do this. This is likely to cause some spike in prices for current mats balancing out the economy a bit more by add a suitable level demand to match the supply.

Latest news:
Justice Points are being removed as well with 6.0. All Heirlooms will now be purchasable with gold. It looks like you'll be able to use lesser charms of good fortune to upgrade gear for the remainder of the expansion. Not entirely clear on that atm.

A brief follow-up on Darkmoon Trinkets made by Inscription. These will be identical to lfr trinkets. Since lfr will have greater drop rates, close to 50%, there doesn't seem a lot of incentive to make these unless they're easier to produce then prior expansions. Another note on trinkets, the stat proc trinkets seem to be gone. Instead we'll get trinkets with stat boosts that proc secondary stats. Seeing a lot more focus on secondary stats in general this expansion since they want those to make us feel like we're customizing our toons and making them feel/play unique. The other benefit of this is that less primary stat bonuses on gear means a slower rate of escalation for numbers, the sort of stuff that prompted the stat squish to begin with. This is because primary stats are purely linear while secondary stats are always scaled by your level, so most of the benefit of gear will be scaled for your level, thus limiting the obscene spikes in numbers we see at the end of each expansion. Anyway, the plus side of this is that it will downplay trinket management as a skill, so you won't gimp your dps if you don't line up your trinkets with activated cds. It'll still provide superior numbers, but the gap shouldn't be as great now. On an unrelated note, Brawler's Guild. All of the fights and your rank will be reset come Warlords. All of the achievements you got for completing the fights become feats of strength I believe, and need to be re-earned in the level 100 versions of the fights. No mechanics changes, just the fights will be scaled to level 100. Have fun fighting Hexxos again.

Crazy stuff going on folks. The Legendary Cloak is being removed from the game come 6.0. It will no longer be obtainable any longer, the first time a legendary item has been removed from the game. However, Gaze of the Black Prince has been extended once more and will last until 6.0. Additionally, the Test of Valor part of the quest chain is going away. With that in mind, it should be possible to complete the entire quest series start to finish in 4 weeks...so you could start it right now and as long as your luck isn't bad, you can finish it just in time for the patch. Of course you'll be running lfr till your eyes bleed, but it is possible. Also, most of the heirloom vendors are going away with 6.0 as well. We'll be able purchase them from the Darkmoon Faire and Argent Tournament still, but nowhere else. They'll return for sale at a later point in time with an expanded heirloom system. link for full details.

Correction, the Test of Valor is being removed in 6.0 along with everything else...got confused when they felt the need to mention that separately. So there isn't enough time to finish it all if you start now. But if you're on the last of the Test of Valor, you do have time.

Some further correction courtesy of Manila who spoke to a GM. The questline will be removed when Warlords hits. No one can start the questline when 6.0 hits, but you have till Warlords to complete it.

Mr Robot has a blog post with random bits of information. They're calling it 50 facts in 50 days. As you can guess, it gets updated daily with one new bit of info. Some that caught my eye: All that wonderful crafted gear you can get made, you can only equip 3 pieces of it total. With Hit and Expertise going away, to keep the old gemming model simple, they're converting those into Crit and Haste. So, the Blue gems that gave Hit, will now give Crit etc. With 6.0 and the removal of reforges, all of our current reforges will be removed. You can earn 4 bonus roll coins a week from 4 different methods. Each method is capable of earning all 4 coins, but gets progressively expensive to do so. Therefore, the cheapest way to do it is to dabble in all 4 methods.

For those who were talking about using their stockpile of keys to be safe, I know it was Ten and someone else, I came across this line in the things that are changing in 6.0:
"The Key to the Palace of Lei Shen will no longer drop and In the Hall of the Thunder King will become a Legacy achievement. Existing keys will still be usable though!"
Just thought I'd point that out for ya'll.

If you read the Mr Robot link, you'll see the discussion about bonus rolls in the new expansion. 500 Honor buys one of them rather cheaply, so the optimal way is to dabble in pvp. Well, Honor points don't reset. Sooo, in the few days before the patch hits on Tuesday, you can convert all your JP to Honor to get a leg up on getting those bonus rolls.
Also, I'm hearing rumors that both VP and JP will convert to gold when the patch hits to the tune of 45 silver a piece. So, if you're capped you'll get a little over 3k gold.

Crazy new feature coming, and you've seen glimpses of it at the login screen, the ability to undelete characters. It is possible to recover toons from years ago. They'd be recovered with all gear and things intact that they once had. Link is here.

Noxxic's rankings for DPS classes at level 100 in T17 gear in normal, heroic and mythic gear. You'll note that 1-2k dps is a big shift now. I doubt Blizz is done tuning classes yet, so expect these numbers to change.

Latest build notes: Alchemy's special ingredient is removed from several recipes. Not sure if this is being removed entirely or not. This ingredient acted as a check on how much stuff an alchemist could make. LFR will offer some sort of weakened/generic tier gear, before it wasn't going to have any at all. Foods buffs and enchantments have had their bonuses boosted a few points. Primal Spirit will be the new Spirit of Harmony, the trade vendor will be in your Garrison. Link is here.
